Tip & Split Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Tip & Split ("the App") handles information when you use the mobile application provided by Kovacs Software Solutions ("we," "our," or "us"). The App is designed to help users calculate tips, split bills, review country tipping guides, and revisit recent bill history.

2. Information the App Stores

In the current release, Tip & Split stores the following information locally on your device:

• Bill amounts, split settings, and tip selections you choose to keep in your bill history
• Preferences you set inside the App, such as calculation choices or interface options
• Reference content needed to display country tipping guides

3. What We Do Not Collect Through the App

For this version of Tip & Split, we do not collect or receive your bill history on our servers through normal app use.

• No account is required to use the App
• No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are used in the App at launch
• No cloud sync is provided for bill history in version 1

4. Support Requests

If you contact us for support at support@kovacssoftware.com, we may receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address and the details of your request. We use that information only to respond and provide support.

5. Data Retention

Bill history and preference data remain on your device until you delete them inside the App, remove the App, or clear the App's local data through your device settings. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain support records.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Because Tip & Split stores bill history locally on your device and does not sync it to our servers in version 1, we do not share that bill history with third parties through the App.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information we receive directly, such as support emails. Information stored locally on your device is protected by your device's own security controls, and you are responsible for maintaining access controls on your phone or tablet.

8. Children's Privacy

Tip & Split is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

9. Third-Party Services

App stores and platform providers such as Apple or Google may collect information according to their own policies when you download or use the App through their services. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not this Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page and publish the updated version at this same URL.
